Halton and Warrington Road Safety Partnership are holding an event at Golden Square, Warrington, on Saturday (October 12) – all welcome!
The aim of the day is to provide the public with a variety of information and advice to improve their safety while travelling.
The main focus will be on checking and making sure your tyres are legal, as it is national Tyre Safety Month, and also to encourage all road users to ‘Look, Look again, we all share the road’. Failing to look, by all road users, is the number one cause of collisions locally and nationally.
On the day, a variety of free material will be available, including high-vis cotton shopping bags, tyre tread depth guides, bike lights, driver guides and information on ‘Biker Down’ and ‘Pedal Smart’ programmes. Plus lots more potentially lifesaving and advice and goodies.
There will also be a midi-motorbike on a stand for younger potential bikers to see and have their photo taken.
The team will be on hand from 9am until 4pm and everyone is welcome to come and chat, whether they are a driver, cyclist, motorcyclist or pedestrian.
The partnership is made up of Halton and Warrington Borough Councils’ Road Safety Teams, Cheshire Fire and Rescue and Cheshire Police.
