Residents with Christmas floral tributes and memorabilia on graves in Halton’s four cemeteries are advised that they will be removed in early February.
In preparation for grass cutting, the Council’s cemetery staff will begin to remove wreaths and other Christmas items from Runcorn, Widnes, Halton and Peel House Cemeteries week beginning 8 February 2021.
This takes place every year about one month after the festive season when wreaths and decorations have usually got into a poor state. Notices are displayed in advance of any removals taking place.
Therefore if there are any Christmas tributes on graves that grave owners wish to keep, you are advised to remove them prior to this date.
