Halton Borough Council is advising that current Garden Waste service subscriptions will expire on 31 May 2021 and a new subscription payment will need to be made if customers wish to receive collections beyond this date.
Payment for new subscriptions is NOT automatically taken by the Council and you will need to re-subscribe before 31 May in order for collections to continue.
Subscriptions can still be paid for after that date, but any green bins presented for collection after this date without displaying a valid licence will not be emptied.
The Council is pleased to be able to keep the charge for collections at £35 per bin.
Payments can currently be made on-line at www.halton.gov.uk/gardenwaste
or by calling 0303 333 4300 and choosing Option 3.
You can also visit one of the Council’s one-stop shops, but please note that opening hours are currently reduced to 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.
As it can take up to 14 days for your licence sticker to arrive, please subscribe in plenty of time to ensure that you don’t miss any collections.
Please note that after 31 May 2021 we will only collect bins displaying a valid 2021/22 licence.
