On Saturday caring young people from Halton Borough Council’s Youth Provision involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, Halton Mayors Award scheme and Halton Youth Cabinet assisted Runcorn Rotary club at Runcorn Asda with its Christmas fundraising for good causes. But they need your help!
On Sunday young people participating in the D of E and Halton Mayors Award assisted the Street Angels organisation in Liverpool City Centre to distribute food, toiletries and clothing to the homeless.
Barry Selby Lead worker for Halton Open Award D of E scheme and Halton Mayors Award with Young Addaction said: “All of us involved with the project found it to be a very rewarding but also very humbling experience.
“We will be attending another event on Sunday 5 January so if anybody has any of the following items they would like to donate; including hats, gloves, scarves, sleeping bags or pop tent, underwear (new) and unused toiletries.”

The young people who assisted with the homeless project were; Chloe Shaw aged 15, Fraya Walker aged 14, Evina aged 14, Jasmine Daniels aged 13, Amber Johnson aged 13, Sam Gerard aged 12, Megan Grainger aged 16.
