When is the Ditton by-election? – There is a by-election in the Ditton ward in Widnes on 11 October and residents in that ward are advised by Halton Borough Council to make sure they are registered to vote.
The deadline to register to vote in time for the by-election is Tuesday 25 September.
If anyone has recently moved into the area, or just turned 18, they need to make sure they have completed their registration, which they can do at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
Residents should make sure they answer any correspondence from the Council quickly to make sure they don’t miss out.
